The new owner of the Balsams Grand Resort Hotel has hired North State economic development organizations to find ways to finance the renovation of a long awaited.
Nonprofit community investment Corp North, serving Northern New Hampshire and Vermont, will develop a financial plan to fund the renovation of the hotel, Dixville notch’s historic.
The renovation is important to get the resort is open for guests and once again became a major employer in North Country, said Jon Freeman, President of the NCIC.
Depending on the season, Balsams employs approximately 300 full-and part-time workers in the region with the highest unemployment rate of the country.
Balsams view LLC–entrepreneur Daniel Dagesse partnership and Daniel Hebert Jr., both of the Colebrook-bought the resort in December and has vowed to restore the glories.
